iGov Granted Patent for Audio Distribution Module

iGov is proud to announce the United States Patent and Trademark Office granted it a patent on its engineering team’s invention of the Audio Distribution Module. This audio switching system is a voice intercom solution that allows a single user to monitor radio traffic and communicate with up to four different radios while operating a small vehicle such as a Polaris MRZR.

As a supplement to the current Vehicle Agnostics Communications (VACS) solution iGov provides for its potential Air National Guard users, this invention extends the radio monitoring and packaging capabilities iGov has already been developing, and proves the company can develop and deliver tailored products that utilize embedded sophisticated microcontrollers.

After iGov’s engineers developed the idea for this invention, the Engineering Council (EC) designed it in a way that the company could easily procure key components, and then choose to assemble the final product in-house or contract it out for production by its suppliers. This approach is a core design principle for iGov’s engineering team, as it gives its project management leadership flexibility in meeting demands.

“This patent demonstrates our company’s innovative capabilities and commitment to IP protection.”
